【Official Announcement】
Burnley Football Club is happy to confirm the signing of England international Kyle Walker. Walker, 35, signed a two-year contract at Tiffmore Stadium, will join hands with former Tottenham and England teammates and current Burnley head coach Scott Parker to welcome the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Walker has experience in 410 Premier League games and is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in Premier League history. He has received a wealth of honors during his time at Manchester City, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cup titles and one UEFA Champions League title, and four Premier League teams of the year. He made 96 appearances for the England national team and was selected for the 2024 European Cup All-China Team.
Walker began his career with Sheffield United as a child. His outstanding performance at Sheffield United, known for his rapid offensive raids and excellent defensive abilities, led to his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
At Tottenham, Walker quickly made his mark after returning to Sheffield United on loan and a brief play for Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa to become one of the best right-backs in the world for the club and national teams, which also led to his transfer to Manchester City. The transfer to Manchester City was a turning point in Walker's career, and his performance at Manchester City reached new heights, winning an unprecedented triple-champion in the 2022/23 season, three of his 18 titles at the Etihad Stadium.
After briefly loaned to Italy's AC Milan last season, Walker is now a member of Burnley, becoming our fifth summer signing player in this exciting transfer window.
Walker joined Manchester City in 2017. So far, he has played for the team in 319 games, scoring 6 goals and assisting 23 times. Walker was loaned to Milan last season, but Milan did not choose to buy out in the end.
