Egyptian national team director Ibrahim Hassan revealed that it has not yet been finalized whether Salah and Malmouche will participate in the next friendly match against Nigeria.
The match between Egypt and Nigeria will be held on December 14. It will be the last warm-up match for the Egyptian team before preparing for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, which will open on December 21. Hassan said in an interview: "We are still communicating with Liverpool and Manchester City about player recruitment."
Liverpool and Manchester City hope to keep Salah and Malmouche in the lineup to play in the Premier League games against Brighton on December 13 and Crystal Palace on December 14 respectively. The two clubs prefer to have players report to the national team before the start of the African Cup of Nations.
The report also pointed out that although Salah participated in the previous friendly match against Uzbekistan, the national team has decided to rest him, so he will not participate in the warm-up match against Cape Verde.
