The Daily Telegraph reported that Tottenham Hotspur is expected to poach Brazilian winger Savignho from Manchester City, and Manchester City is asking for £50 million.
It is reported that Manchester City has reluctantly begun negotiations with Tottenham on a potential transfer, and the negotiations between the two sides are still in their early stages. Manchester City was unwilling to let go of the core winger of the team last season. Savignho made 48 appearances last season and contributed 3 goals and 13 assists. But coach Guardiola has always insisted that he would not force players who were dissatisfied with the club, and his team needs to streamline the lineup before the transfer window is closed.
However, Manchester City will only sell Savigno if they receive a suitable offer, considering that they signed the 21-year-old from Girona for £35 million last year, the asking price may be around £50 million.
With Cherki joining from Lyon, Savignho began to worry that his playing time would be affected if he stayed at the Etihad Stadium, and Manchester City at least sent a positive signal to Tottenham that the deal is expected to be achieved.
Spurs urgently need to strengthen the attack line after Son Heung-min transfers to Los Angeles FC and Madison suffered a serious knee injury recently. The two main signings of new coach Frank this summer are Kudus and Palinia.
