Chelsea defender Gusteau recently talked about the topic of "firsts" in his player career in an interview with the club's official media.
Your first jersey?
"It was a Juventus jersey, and there was no player name printed on the back at that time. And my first jersey with a player's name printed on it was Real Madrid star Bale's."
The first team you played for?
"It's my hometown team - Willefontein."
The first coach?
"It was a coach named Leon in Willefontein. He was one of my first coaches and left me a lot of memories. I still remember the first piece of advice Leon gave me. He told me that I must go all out. I was full of energy at the time, and he always reminded me to bring this energy to the court."
The first friend in football?
"When I started playing professional football in Lyon, I made a few friends. One was the French goalkeeper Bonneville (now playing for the French team Queverly Rouen), the other was Lukba (now playing for Leipzig), and Barcola (now playing for Paris Saint-Germain)."
When was the first time you shared a room with your teammates?
"After joining Chelsea, I lived with the French-speaking players."

"It was (for Lyon) against Strasbourg. And my first game at Chelsea was against Liverpool, so I was very impressed!"
First time being recognized in public?
"When I started playing for Lyon, I went into the city with my friends, and a few passers-by came over and asked to take a photo. It felt strange at first, but now I'm used to it, it's part of our job."
What was your first feeling after signing for Chelsea?
"Proud. I am proud of myself and very happy to see my parents' pride. These are all good memories."
