According to Bloomberg, U.S. President Trump said that he has not discussed with Chinese President Xi Jinping to approve the sale of NVIDIA Blackwell series AI chips to China, dampening market expectations that the U.S. may relax export restrictions. During the interview on Air Force One, Trump pointed out that the two did talk about NVIDIA's business in China, but emphasized that "we are not talking about Blackwell."

Trump added that whether to purchase chips depends on Beijing, and revealed that "they will continue to talk with NVIDIA and other companies." This conversation significantly cooled down the sharp rally that occurred the previous day due to rumors of "Blackwell lifting the ban."

Previously, Trump had stated that he would discuss Blackwell chips with Xi Jinping, triggering speculation that the United States might relax export controls on high-end AI chips to China. The news once pushed up NVIDIA's stock price, causing the company's market value to exceed the US$5 trillion mark, becoming the first company in the world to reach this milestone.

Market analysis points out that the United States still maintains a wait-and-see attitude towards China’s AI chip export policy. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang continues to lobby the U.S. government to relax restrictions on the Chinese market, emphasizing that China is an important source of demand and a key growth market for the company's products.
