In the recent situation where unmanned machines have become red-fried chickens in military industry, in order to strengthen Taiwan's competition in the global unmanned machinery industry, and to respond to the Executive Yuan's "chip drive Taiwan industry innovation plan", the Ministry of Economic Affairs recently passed a total of approximately NT$326 million to support including Haihua Technology, China Optoelectronics intelligent robots, British Economics, Zhibang Technology, Weili Industrial Network, Taiwan Hope Innovation and Easy-Development Estimator Project 7 The case is "independent development, research and development, supplementary planning of unmanned key chips and modules".
According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, this plan focuses on the development of AI imaging chips and low-cost control panels. A total of 17 cases have been applied for, and finally 7 cases with high technological innovation and market potential were selected. In the future, we will accelerate the independent development of key technologies in the unmanned aircraft field, and help Taiwan to move towards a new era of smart airspace.
The 7 plans added this time not only have breakthrough technology innovations, but also strengthen the domestic industry chain and create new opportunities for unmanned industrial industries. The following is summarized as follows:
1. "Advanced AI Imaging Module-Visual Navigation and Tracking Algorithm and Camera Module Development Plan"--Constructing High-Efficiency Self-Flying AI Model: Haihua Technology, Taiwan HopeThis case is jointly developed by Haihua Technology (directed by) and Taiwan Hope to cooperate with "advanced human-unmanned AI imaging module" as the core to develop an AI imaging platform with high precision and anti-interference capabilities. The project will adopt the Genio 720 chip of the Technologies Corporation and will be widely used in disaster prevention and smart logistics fields, with an investment of more than NT$200 million in R&D, and will simultaneously develop an international patent layout.
2. "AI imaging chip and system module development plan for unmanned visual obstacle avoidance and high-quality air shooting" - Taiwan's first set of mass-producible AI imaging chip platforms: China Optoelectronics, XindingThe unmanned AI image chip is developed by China Optoelectronics intelligent robot (hosted) and Xinding Technology. It will use a 6-nanometer process to develop chips, integrate ISP, NPU and GPU, and support up to 100MP photography and 8K recording. The AI computing power can be expanded to more than 100+TOPS, which can achieve the integration of omnidirectional obstacle avoidance and abnormal quality sensing. The results will be introduced into markets such as police and national defense, reducing the dependence on China's unmanned airports. It is expected that the cumulative output value in three years can reach NT$1 billion, driving Taiwan's new milestone towards independent airspace technology.
3. "Unmanned AI image processing and identification development plan" - Smart multi-functional loading integrated to promote industrial transformation: BritishBritish Economics focuses on the integration of AI image processing and laser scanning, combined with modules such as lenses and thermal imaging, and plans to combine laser rapid scanning and data computing characteristics, and integrates spatial computing technologies such as lenses and thermal imaging to achieve the goal of interaction between software and hardware and real space, which will help smart loaders to promote more practical application fields, such as security, storage, agriculture, firefighting, and hard-working applications. In addition to reducing manpower dependence, it can also improve operational efficiency and safety. British and European Union will use its optical and electrical integration capabilities to promote the upgrading of Taiwan's precision manufacturing industry.
4. "High-efficiency economical unmanned aircraft control board independent development and research and development supplementary plan" - a new solution to flying control that combines efficiency and cost: Zhibang TechnologyZhibang Technology integrates cross-platform communication technology, cooperates with domestic chips, RF modules and other local supply chain partners, and invests in the development of high-performance unmanned load controllers and long-distance remote controller wireless transmission modules, planning four major points: automatic cutting after chip failure The exchange, stable transmission of long-distance low-latency communication, improved electromagnetic interference resistance in urban areas, extreme climate and different load tolerance capabilities meet the reliability and multi-field compatibility requirements required for practical applications, and is expected to improve the international competitiveness of domestic independent flying control solutions.
5. "Construct the Ecosystem of the Domestic Chip Unmanned Aircraft Control System" - Create a Complete Ecosystem of the Domestic Aircraft Control: Vili Industrial Network Hedi TechnologyWeili Industrial Network (supervised) and Hedi have developed a domestic chip flying control system, integrating the domestic COFDM chip long-distance anti-interference data transmission and source flying control verification system to create the only communication distance of more than 300 in accordance with the NCC frequency usage regulations. The kilometer unmanned vehicle wide-frequency high-definition digital communication system is built, and a flying control system platform that meets international standards is built. With system integration as the core, it connects the flying control, communication, power and ground control station modules to establish a dragon capability from design, machine sampling, testing to OEM/ODM mass production, and improves the availability and supply chain autonomy of domestic unmanned machines.
6. "High-performance universal domestic unmanned key module development plan" - creating domestic high-performance unmanned flying control modules and key components: Taiwan hopes to innovateTaiwan hopes to innovate and combine Asia Electronics' domestic high-efficiency dual-core microprocessors to create a new generation of high-performance unmanned aircraft flying control modules, which can handle speeds with mainstream international products and drive, and can extend the integration of development and communication, anti-interference navigation and high-reliability redundant systems, and promote the autonomous development of core technologies. In addition to the flying control module, the project also simultaneously launched a number of components such as motor controller, long-distance communication, high-precision positioning and power management, and gradually built a "national machine manufacturing" foundation. Through group exhibition and operational testing, the results can be used as design examples by unmanned aircraft manufacturers, which will help shorten the R&D cycle and accelerate mass production, further driving complete supply chains and industry upgrades.
7. "Unmanned Aircraft Domestic Self-Equipped Fly Control and Loading Verification Plan" - The verification platform promotes the landing of domestic flying control merchants: Easy-to-develop precision machinesEasy-development precision machine development unmanned aircraft flying control and loading verification platform, with domestic microcontrollers (MCUs) as the core, has the characteristics of being highly compatible with mainstream global source flying control software (such as PX4 and ArduPilot). It not only can optimize flight control algorithms, but also has flexible functional expansion capabilities. The module integrates sensors such as IMU (acceleration meter and gyroscope), air pressure, magnetism and GNSS satellite positioning, greatly improving the accuracy and stability of flying control, and can support diverse application scenarios such as logistics, testing, and patrol inspection, and accelerate the entry of domestic flying control products into actual applications.. It will help the commercialization of independent key technologies for unmanned machines, and provide a complete testing and verification environment for Taiwan's unmanned machines industry chain, and enhance international cooperation opportunities.
